We are looking for people who will bring the expertise and skills used at a senior level in business and in the community, who will help us think outside of the box, who will help challenge the status quo and help support the management and staff to continue the good work of the College.
Carnegie College, based in Dunfermline, is one of the most progressive and commercially minded Colleges in Scotland with a national reputation for excellence and innovation in the delivery of education and training.
It has an annual turnover of circa £23 million with a well balanced income from commercial activity and government funding. With a client population of around 10,000, it offers a rich mix of vocational and academic programmes from introductory to degree and postgraduate level, designed to deliver the skills and educational need of local and national employers.
The College’s Board of Management, its governing body, plays a crucial role in shaping its strategic direction. The Board currently has 3 vacancies for individuals who can devote around 15 days of their time annually and want to share their knowledge and expertise in support of the College’s vision to ‘Enable Learning and Enthuse Learners’.
Ideally you will have senior level experience in one or more of the following areas, sectors and skill sets: ICT, Finance, Energy, Estates / capital building projects, Change management, Marketing and sales, Strategic planning, Commercial awareness, Collaborative partnerships, Chairing a committee, Commercial or professional training, International business or education.
