One of our most exciting new services is Carnegie 24 – a portal for online learning. Carnegie 24 can take you directly into a vast range of college services and resources. This fantastic new resource makes learning even more accessible for those who cannot make it into our campuses. With Carnegie 24 learners have direct access to their tutors and can send messages, submit pieces of work and log queries for the tutor’s attention. Using the internet, learners can use Carnegie 24 to access their learning programmes from anywhere in the world, at any time of the day. For those keen to get started we already have over 2,000 hours of learning available to you in subjects as diverse as Management, Business, Humanities, Personal Development, Computing and ICT, Creative Studies and Sciences. Your learning materials can be provided in paper format, CD-ROM or distributed electronically via the Internet. If you require additional advice and support you can contact your tutor by telephone, e-mail or through our virtual learning environment. Your learning instruction and direction is built into your online course materials or provided using communication tools in our virtual learning environment. Assessment can be carried out using the Internet and e-mail unless the qualifications authority state that assessment and examination must be conducted in an approved assessment centre. |
