Full-Time Study
Our full-time courses are particularly suitable if you want to work towards a qualification quickly.

Although the term "full-time" implies that you have to attend college for the full day, Monday through to Friday, this is not always the case. Full-time courses use a whole range of learning methods to give you greater choice and flexibility. You may not need to come to college every day but your study programme will include a certain amount of time at college with further study to be undertaken at a place and time of your choosing.

Typically your learning experience might include a blend of:
  • Practical sessions and workshops
  • Group theory sessions
  • Individual learning using the latest Internet learning environments
  • Development and research activities in the Student Development Centre, Library or Job Resource Centre
  • Study from home.

Bursaries

If you are planning to study on a full-time further education course, that is an NQ , C&G, Access or SVQ at level 1 -3, you may be eligible to receive financial support. If you are over 18 years of age and intend to study for a full-time NQ or Higher course you will probably be eligible for a bursary. A bursary will cover tuition fees, help towards travel expenses and may assist you with living costs (dependant on your family circumstances and your age). Even if you do not receive a maintenance award you may be entitled to free tuition. A bursary does not have to be repaid and it will be paid into your bank account on a monthly basis.

If you are planning to study full-time on an HNC or HND course, a non-repayable Young Students Bursary is available to enhance the amount of your student loan for students under the age of 25.
