This section covers information about the college's health and safety policies, procedures and record. In some instances information will be exempt from disclosure where it contains personal information, or information which, if released, may substantially prejudice the commercial interests of any person or organisation, endanger the physical or mental health or safety of an individual, substantially prejudice the effective conduct of public affairs, or constitute an actionable breach of confidence. PoliciesCarnegie College has a Health and Safety Policy and Health and Safety Manual detailing the procedures and guidelines for matters relating to health and safety issues. The policy and manual are available on the Carnegie College intranet. (Health and Safety Manual) (General Statement of Health and Safety) Annual ReportsAn annual safety report is prepared and issued detailing audit findings, recommendations and matters to be actioned. This is approved by the Health and Safety Committee. MonitoringHealth and Safety issues are monitored by a comprehensive audit system together with random audits throughout the year. Monitoring is also regularly reviewed by the Health and Safety Committee. StatisticsSummary statistics on accidents and incidents within the organisation are gathered, recorded and analysed for any resulting actions. Details of statistics are available on request. Statistics are also reviewed and monitored by the Health and Safety Committee. Support structuresCarnegie College is developing a culture of Total Health and Safety, providing support via the Health and Safety Advisor.
