5. Financial Resources

This section covers information on the college’s strategy and management of financial resources.  The Finance Department provides accounting, procurement and contracting services, helping to make best use of resources and fulfilling statutory responsibilities.  Information that may substantially prejudice the commercial interests of any person or organisation, personal information, or information, which would disrupt the effective conduct of public affairs, will be excluded from publication.


Financial statements


Carnegie College’s annual accounts for the last two financial years are available on the Carnegie College website.  (Annual Accounts).


Budgetary processes


Policies and procedures for making budgetary allocations are part of the corporate planning cycle (Corporate Planning Process).  Allocations are considered by the Finance Committee and approved by the Board of Management.

Budgetary allocations to major budgetary units are allocated on an annual basis.  Allocations are considered by the Finance Committee and approved by the Board of Management.

The College’s Financial Regulations is available on the Carnegie College website (Financial Regulations).


Insurance


Marsh Limited acts as Carnegie College’s insurance brokers.  The College has the following insurance policies in place:

  • Commercial combined
  • Professional indemnity
  • Group travel
  • Computer
  • Engineering
  • Motor fleet


Investments
