Launchpad success
Launchpade is a new short course developed in partnership with Carnegie College, JHP Employability and Jobcentre Plus, that means lone parents and others who have been out of the labour market will now be in a better position to make realistic decisions about looking for work.

The Launchpad programme is an 8 week course delivered by the College’s School of Communities and Learner Development, with the Dunfermline Access Centre being the first within the College to run it.

web_launchpad.jpgThe first 4 weeks are delivered in the New Row by tutors and covers sessions in building confidence, jobsearch skills and team building with the remaining 4 weeks are spent on a work placement.

On 18 June, six students celebrated the end of their course when they were presented with certificates. Following the success of this programme, Launchpad programmes will be delivered at Carnegie’s other Access Centres in Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes and Methil. For more information on the Launchpad programme, contact Jobcentre Plus.
