| The Stage Is Set for College Open Day |
|
The stage is set and the curtain about to rise on Carnegie College’s Open Day on Thursday 13 August, with the spotlight ready to shine on the stars of the future. And who exactly are these leading lights, looking forward to glittering careers, triumph and fortune? Well they could be you!
Every great entertainer has a whole team of back-up support to help them achieve their success. They are given a script and lyrics to learn, tutors and coaches encourage them to make best use of these tools, and rehearsals give them confidence in their role before they are finally ready to stand in front of their audience.
This process doesn’t just apply to actors and singers though, it can be relevant to every career in every industry. Over the summer Carnegie College has been getting ready for its new intake of students, some who will be coming to college for the first time, others returning to complete the second year of a course and many others who have decided to return to study to either update their skills or retrain for a new career. At Carnegie College we equip our students with knowledge to succeed; our professional tutors encourage you to achieve your potential; while practical experience prepares you for employment, with expert staff giving support and guidance all the way through your time at college. All our students are stars in the making, and we believe they can create big futures for themselves here at Carnegie. Head of Corporate Affairs, Anthony Winney, said, “When you have to make decisions about your future, it’s sensible to gather as much information and facts as possible. Carnegie College’s Open Day will provide visitors with information about the college, and the opportunities that being a Carnegie student brings, to allow them to make an informed career decision. “The Open Day is a great opportunity for those who have just received their exam results or have still to make a decision about coming to college, to come along and see what is on offer. They will receive information and advice on full-time and part-time courses, or even apply for a place there and then. In addition, funding workshops will be held to explain the range of financial support available while attending college, including the recently launched Student Scholarship Fund. We have set the stage, so why settle for being an ‘Extra’ when you could be a ‘Star’?” The event, which starts at 1 pm, goes on until 7 pm in the evening, allowing as many people as possible to come along at a time that suits them. Our ‘stage crew’ are ready to welcome visitors to the college, and will provide guided tours of the college allowing prospective students to see for themselves the facilities and resources they will have access to when they enrol at Carnegie. All visitors will be entered into our free draw to win a fantastic i-pod touch. To find out more about Carnegie College Open Day, check out the website or phone 0844 248 0115.
