Assistant Principal Janet McCauslin Awarded MBE
 janet mccauslin web.jpg  Carnegie College Assistant Principal, Janet McCauslin, was awarded an MBE in the 2008 New Year Honours List, for her contribution in education to social inclusion, equal opportunities, and diversity and workforce development. At the end of November she travelled with her family to London to receive the award.

Speaking about her award Mrs McCauslin said ‘I was honoured to receive the award from HRH the Prince of Wales, and my visit to Buckingham Palace was a truly memorable occasion for myself and my family.’


Mrs McCauslin has lived in West Fife throughout her life, attending Queen Anne High School, teaching at Inzievar Primary School and joining Carnegie College 21 years ago as a part-time lecturer. She knows the Fife community well and is committed to helping local people succeed. She has held numerous roles in the College over the past 2 decades and is a key player in progressing the College’s external relations and partnerships with schools, communities and universities such as Napier.

She holds a number of local and national roles and is an active partner in the Fife Community Planning Partnership, an Elder at Inverkeithing Parish Church, and a Trustee with the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust.
