Creative Carnegie Students Show Off Their Talents
This weekend (7 and 8 June) Carnegie College School of Computing and Creative Arts students will be holding their annual exhibition of work at the Glen Pavilion, Dunfermline. Entry to the Exhibition is free and will be open to the public between 10 am and 7pm on Saturday, and between 11am and 4pm on Sunday. Students from across the College will be exhibiting a wide range of talents, including traditional painting and sculpture, jewellery designs, fashion, flower arranging, photography, multimedia projects, antique furniture restoration and much more.

The Exhibition gives members of the public, students’ families and friends the opportunity to see the variety of work produced during the year. The students have been studying a range of courses at Carnegie from introductory level through to degree level either on a full-time or part-time basis.

Ann Brown, Head of the School of Computing and Creative Arts speaking about the Exhibition said ‘Computing and Creative Arts is seeing a massive growth in employment opportunities. We offer excellent specialist training for a wide variety of job roles and ambitions. Whether you are aiming for a change of career, new skills or to get into the job market, Carnegie can help you to develop your potential. Most of the School’s courses are studied in Media Space which is a purpose designed building providing state-of-the-art facilities in a vibrant atmosphere for all of the arts, digital media, multi-media, photography, art and design, and drama. It has a real buzz about it and the students absolutely love it. I do hope as many people as possible will be able to come along to the Glen Pavilion to view the students’ work. I am sure all will be impressed by the talent on show.’

The Exhibition will be officially opened on Friday 6 June by Ian Pirie, Vice Principal of Edinburgh School of Art in front of an invited audience.
