Carnegie College offers a range of short courses and executive education delivered through Carnegie Business Training and Development (part of Carnegie Enterprise Ltd), designed to help professionals upskill, something which is critial in today's competitive environment.  These courses are designed to ensure that you keep up-to-date with the latest skills and legislative changes required in the workplace.  We deliver training solutions at all levels from Senior Management and Executive groups to Team Leaders and their teams.  Courses range from one-day Personal and Professional Development courses, e.g. Presentation Skills, or IT training, such as Microsoft Word through to PRINCE2TM Project Management training or Quality Systems training, such as Six Sigma and Lean Management.  In association with Andrew Carnegie Business School, we also deliver accredited courses such as Chartered Management Institute (cmi), Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) programmes and many more.

prince2_logo1.jpg PRINCE2TM (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a process-based approach to project management owned by the Government of Commerce. It is an easily tailored and scalable method that can be applied to all projects and situations across all sectors.

PRINCE2TM is a classroom based course that is delivered over three days for Foundation level and an additional two days for Practitioner level.

All PRINCE2TM project management training delivered by Carnegie Business Training and Development is accredited by The APM Group.

Carnegie Business Training and Development is an accredited Training Organisation for PRINCE2TM.

Report Writing

This one day personal and professional development course will help participants to:
  • Know how to organise, assess and reject information collected in research
  • Prepare ‘the terms of reference’
  • Write a clear, concise, logical and effective report that achieves its purpose
  • Write each section of a report (with appropriate content) to a ‘standard format’ in a clear and structured fashion
  • Write clear and succinct ‘recommendations’
  • Use ‘writing skills’ to make it easier for the reader to understand the report
  • The importance of communicating effectively through the written word should not be underestimated.

Managing Financial Resources


This two day, interactive workshop will draw on contemporary case study activities and candidate study packs and the sharing of best practice and real life examples will be encouraged. By the end of this workshop, delegates will be able to plan for the acquisition of resources, monitor and control the use of resources and assess the effective use of resources.
